Eduardo Sanchez Interview
Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
This is the interview of all interviews. Tonight is a holy grail episode, the one, the only, Eduardo Sanchez, director of the acclaimed found footage film "The Blair Witch Project." Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the film, Eduardo was a guest at Horrorhound that we met and so graciously agreed to talk with us. Besides Blair Witch, we discussed his other film, 2014 "Exists," and talk at length about our shared love of all things Bigfoot. We also discussed his most recent collaboration with other Latino filmmakers in the 2022 Shudder featured anthology "Satanic Hispanics." This was a dream come true for us and we can't thank Eduardo enough for his time.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a...FROGMAN?! We talked about the movie last week, this week we're talking about the legendary cryptid that inspired it: The Loveland Frogman of Ohio. With the first sighting in 1955 and the last sighting in 2016, for over 60 years the legend and lore surrounding Frogman (or FrogMEN?) has been shrouded in mystery. Is it real, is it a hoax, is it a Pokemon? Find out for yourself at 3AM down by the Little Miami River.

Wednesday Mar 27, 2024
Well guys this is year 2 of our press coverage for Horrorhound Film Festival and 2024 did not disappointment. We reconnected with fellow podcasters and got to see another crop of great indie horror films. The two main standouts that we talked about tonight was "Sheryl" and "Compression", both great films as well as having a great team of filmmakers behind them. We also saw trailers for other great films, networked with other amazing filmmakers and the major highlight, aside from the Film Festival, was meeting the cast and creator of the horror film that changed our lives as horror fans as well as having a huge impact on our podcast, The Blair Witch Project with this being the 25th anniversary of the movie's release. Thank you again to Horrorhound for having us back this year and we look forward to the interviews that we will have coming up so stay tuned!

Goatman
Wednesday Mar 13, 2024
Wednesday Mar 13, 2024
The Goatman legend spans 3 states: Maryland, Kentucky and Texas. In Maryland, he stalks the woods of Prince George's County, possibly the result of a science experiment gone wrong. In Kentucky, he hides under a train trestle near Pope Lick Creek using hypnosis to lure trespassers to their deaths. In Texas, there are 2 reported legends, one in Fort Worth near a nature center and the other on Old Alton Bridge in Denton with the latter having very tragic, racist ties. Tonight we talk about all the legends and even a 2023 film (neither of us had seen by the time of this recording.) Is there one Goatman or many?

The LaLaurie Mansion
Wednesday Feb 21, 2024
Wednesday Feb 21, 2024
Madame Delphine LaLaurie had a sorted past from birth. But in 1834 when her massive mansion in New Orleans caught fire, the truth of her misdeeds finally came to light. Known around by some to be cruel to her slaves, if hearsay is true, that became an understatement when found beneath the smoke and ashes were slaves that had been tortured, abused, if still alive, or left to rot still chained even after death. Madame LaLaurie was never apprehended for her crimes, but her infamy lives on within the bowels of 1140 Royal Street where spirits of the damned can still be seen & heard. To catch the first ever televised paranormal investigation inside the mansion, watch Season 1, Episode 7 of "Portals to Hell."
