WTF Was That Ending Series - Part 5

We're back guys! Tonight is part 5 of our WTF was that Ending series and tonight we're discussing the 2011 found footage space film "Apollo 18," which tells the story of the cancelled Apollo 18 mission that actually did land on the moon but never returned because of what they discovered. The ending to this wasn't terrible like most in our series, but it was a bit lackluster for our taste, so the DFWTO crew decided to give it something a little extra. We will discuss our ending ideas as well as original alternate endings that the creators of the film decided to pass on. "Apollo 18" is currently streaming on Tubi.

The Giant Serpent of the Ohio River

Cincinnati, Ohio, our hometown, has so many connections to snakes. From the ancient Serpent Mound to our north to the Serpentine Wall to our south, all signs of snakes point to Cincinnati. But would you believe that there are cryptid sightings that tie this all together? The Ohio River, that the Serpentine Wall borders, was the location of the 1878 sighting of a reported "sea serpent." A subsequent sighting followed in 1885 also in the Ohio River along Ripley County, Indiana. There were apparently earlier sightings in the late 1840s in eastern Cincinnati as well. The Baker Hotel

We are back to our regular programming guys! Tonight's episode is all about one of our favorite things: a spooky, haunted location. And the location we will be discussing is the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas. Towering at 14 stories, the lavish hotel opened in 1929 in a town known for its healing mineral waters, hence the name. It was built by T.B. Baker & stayed in the family name until it closed officially 1972. In the years that it was open, the hotel was plagued with many murders and suicides that lead to the hauntings that the hotel experiences to this day; from full body apparitions to unexplained noises. One of the many ghosts is thought to be Bonnie & Clyde, former guests in life, as well as Mr. Baker along with his purported mistress. The hotel is set to reopen in 2028. Would you book a stay?

The Found Footage Phenomenon Interview
