Tonight is a haunted location episode that we were fairly unfamiliar with. The Great Seattle Fire of 1889 caused complete devastation to 25 city blocks leaving nothing left. In an effort to rebuild, Seattle was essentially built on top of itself with the old town left underneath. Once the new Seattle was done, the underground became a den of drugs & illegal activity. After the underground was shut off and later reopened for tours, a plethora of paranormal activity had been festering for years ready to unleash on unsuspecting visitors. We will be discussing those experiences along with the history of the fire & the city. Would you visit underground Seattle?

So last week we talked about one of 2 highest grossing horror films in the country and tonight we're talking about the other: Obsession, written and directed by Curry Barker, starring Inde Navarrette as Nikki and Michael Johnston as Bear. The movie follows Bear who uses a magical One Wish Willow to make Nikki, his crush, fall in love with him leading to deadly, obsessive consequences. This movie was deeply triggering for some, but also a strangely entertaining and supernatural thrill ride. All the spoilers in this episode so if you haven't watched yet, Obsession is currently streaming on Peacock.

Hey guys! Our last Horrorhound Filmfest Spring 2026 interview! We are joined by producer Joshua Matthews and director & writer Jason Sheedy to discuss many of their short films thru Heebie Jeebies Pictures including Tapestry that won Best Editing and Best Special Effects at the Film Festival. Tapestry is about "a desperate mother that performs an occult ritual to resurrect her lost child" and it stars Erin Ownbey who was also in their short It Draws Closer that is available to view on their YouTube channel. We discussed Heebie Jeebies Pictures and their various films, Jason and Josh's favorite scary movies and various other topics that made for a fun and enlightened conversation. Jones to discuss his feature film screenplay "The Red Hourglass" that won the Horrorhound Filmfest award for Best Concept in a Feature Script. The short "The Red Hourglass" premiered at Horrorhound Filmfest Fall 2024 & this script is the feature length version of that short. Tonight is another great Horrorhound Spring 2026 Filmfest interview with P. Patrick Hogan, the writer & director of a sci-fi horror short film titled Blindsided, that also won Best Lead Performance & Best Sound Design at the Film Festival. The logline to the short is "A blind schoolteacher is thrust into a nightmare game of survival when an alien ship crashes & unleashes a monstrous predator." The film could very well stand with the likes of A Quiet Place, Bird Box & Hush, even with a runtime of under 10 minutes.
