Our last Horrorhound Filmfest Spring 2026 interview! We are joined by producer Joshua Matthews and director & writer Jason Sheedy to discuss many of their short films thru Heebie Jeebies Pictures including Tapestry that won Best Editing and Best Special Effects at the Film Festival. Tapestry is about "a desperate mother that performs an occult ritual to resurrect her lost child" and it stars Erin Ownbey who was also in their short It Draws Closer that is available to view on their YouTube channel. We discussed Heebie Jeebies Pictures and their various films, Jason and Josh's favorite scary movies and various other topics that made for a fun and enlightened conversation. Keeping the Horrorhound interviews rolling, tonight we are joined by the big winner at Horrorhound Filmfest of 5 awards including Best Feature for the movie "Jump Scare," writer and director Donnie Robbie. Shot very grindhouse, guerilla style, this Texas Chainsaw Massacre inspired film is about a metal band that encounters a crazy cannibal family. Tonight is our lucky number 7 interview from Horrorhound Filmfest Spring 2026 with writer & director B.C. Jones to discuss his feature film screenplay "The Red Hourglass" that won the Horrorhound Filmfest award for Best Concept in a Feature Script. The short "The Red Hourglass" premiered at Horrorhound Filmfest Fall 2024 & this script is the feature length version of that short. The script & short film follow a young virgin woman who becomes pregnant after a strange encounter with a spider: chaos ensues after the baby is born in part due to a cult that seems to be drawn to the child. Tonight is another great Horrorhound Spring 2026 Filmfest interview with P. Patrick Hogan, the writer & director of a sci-fi horror short film titled Blindsided, that also won Best Lead Performance & Best Sound Design at the Film Festival. The logline to the short is "A blind schoolteacher is thrust into a nightmare game of survival when an alien ship crashes & unleashes a monstrous predator." The film could very well stand with the likes of A Quiet Place, Bird Box & Hush, even with a runtime of under 10 minutes. Horrorhound Spring Filmfest 2026 interview Number 2 is here and VERY queer with tonight's interview about the comedy horror short Bath Bomb and its director Colin G Cooper. We are not at liberty to give away any spoilers, but we do discuss what inspired Bath Bomb and all the serendipitous occurrences that made the film happen. We had a fun discussion about Giallo, queer representation in horror, Osgood Perkins and then rounded it out with our love for Tatiana Maslany. Colin was a great sport and we can't wait to see what he has coming next.
