Sydney Powell

The Pope’s Exorcist Gabriele Amorth

Father Gabriele Amorth (1925-2016) was the most famously well-known Catholic exorcist of his time. According to him, he had performed over 60,000 exorcisms, but only over 100 were true demonic possessions. The 2023 Netflix film, " The Pope's Exorcist" starring Russell Crowe is loosely based on Father Amorth's 1990 book " An Exorcist Tells His Story.": Tonight we discuss the movie, spoilers included, as well as real life info about Father Amorth & the process of exorcism.

The Church of Scientology

We've got another episode about cults and tonight we discuss Scientology. Originally created by L. Ron Hubbard in 1954, he proclaimed Scientology to be an "all-denominational" religion with the goal of its members to reach the highest level of "clear", when in reality Scientology was created as a money-making scheme and a way to evade taxes by creating a tax-exempt "church" to appeal to celebrities. We go in depth when discussing their practices as well as their many, many controversies.

The Nun 2

Poveglia Island

Poveglia is an 18 acre island in the Venice, Italy lagoon that has seen its fair share of tragedy. First appearing in historical record in 421, the original inhabitants were forced off to make the island a fort during war in 1379. After sitting abandoned for over 200 years, the next 100 years the island was a plague colony that saw thousands of deaths then a state mental hospital in the 1920s until 1960s run by an insane doctor that killed himself after performing unspeakable acts on patients. The abandoned island now lays rotting away while haunted by the spirits of the damned.

The Mothman Prophecies

Based on the 1975 book by John Keel of the same name, the 2002 movie "The Mothman Prophecies" is about a writer who ends up in the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and begins to have strange experiences while investigating the supernatural phenomena and sightings of the creature known as Mothman. We discuss the movie in its entirety, some real life info about John Keel, and an article regarding true stories about Indrid Cold, the mysterious entity mentioned throughout the film.

Lake Lanier

Lake Lanier is located in Georgia near the city of Cumming in Forsyth County. The sight of horrific racial events in 1912 that resulted in an unjust lynching and thousands of black residents being forced out of their homes that were later flooded by a dam to create the lake. It now has been plagued by hundreds of mysterious drownings and ghostly spectors, one known colloquially as the Lady of the Lake. Sheepsquatch

Been a while but we've got a fun cryptid episode tonight. We've brought you Sasquatch, even Batsquatch, but tonight is all about Sheepsquatch. Sightings in mostly Virginia and West Virginia of this elusive creature, similar to a minotaur with the body of a human but head of a sheep instead of a bull, started in the late 1990s with the most recent sighting in 2015. Is this old Appalachian folklore or something real?

Lori Vallow Case

The disappearance of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan in late 2019/early 2020 took the country by storm. More importantly, the fact their mother, Lori Vallow, was hiding their whereabouts and newly remarried to Chad Daybell who believed in zombies, demons and the apocalypse, 4 months after the murder of her 4th husband by her own brother and 3 weeks after his wife dies under suspicious circumstances.
