The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster

A modern re-telling of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein," Bomani Story's directorial debut, "The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster" tells the tragic story of Vicaria and her view of death as a disease as she is overcome with the grief of losing her brother due to gang/drug violence. When she tries to "cure" him of his "disease," all hell breaks loose and Vicaria is tasked with the decision of dealing with the "Monster" her and society ultimately created. Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD! The LaLaurie Mansion

Gypsy Rose Blanchard

The Haunting in Connecticut

Another real life true story meets Hollywood, tonight we discuss "The Haunting of Connecticut." The 2009 film fictionalizes the real life 1986 story of the Snedeker Family. After moving into a former funeral home in Connecticut to be closer to the hospital for their older son's cancer treatments, the Snedekers immediately started having horrifying paranormal experiences. They finally got Ed & Lorraine Warren involved and after an exorcism, the experiences stopped. The movie version takes on a slightly different version with seances, necromancy and dead bodies in the walls. It's A Wonderful Knife

Even though we're into January, this episode is a fan suggestion that we couldn't pass up. Tonight we review "It's A Wonderful Knife," a horror spin on the 1946 classic "It's a Wonderful Life." Starring Justin Long, Jane Widdop, Joel McHale and Katherine Isabelle, the movie centers around Winnie who within a year has lost her best friend on Christmas Eve to a psychotic killer that she later murders. When she wishes she never existed, she is transported to a parallel universe where the maniac is back and with the help of the town outcast, she must defeat him again and return to her own reality. The Ashland, KY 1881 Tragedy

A 142 year old unsolved triple homicide in a small Kentucky town the day before Christmas. Listen in tonight for the true story that took place December 24, 1881 in Ashland, KY where siblings Fannie and Robert Gibbons along with family friend Emma Carico were bludgeoned to death and set ablaze after in a house fire. 3 men were hung for the crime after the many confessions, and retractions, of one of them. Were these 3 random men, with no real connections to the family, to blame or was this a random act of violence? That is one question that will remain unanswered.

Black Christmas Real Story

Noted as the first slasher movie in the horror genre, 1974 "Black Christmas" (and its 2006 counterpart) was actually based on a true life real crime story about a 14 year old boy who bludgeoned his mother to death one month before Christmas. Its also a mix between the Babysitter/Killer in the House urban legend. Both are still a fan favorite this time of year and we hope you guys enjoy learning these facts about the films. Thanksgiving Movie 2023

There will be NO Leftovers, but there WILL be Spoilers! Tonight we discuss the new Eli Roth holiday dark comedy slasher, "Thanksgiving." Inspired by the mock-trailer from the 2007 Grindhouse double feature: Planet Terror & Death Proof. This movie centers around the events of Thanksgiving night 2022 in Plymouth, Massachusetts where mayhem ensues as a riot breaks out during pre-Black Friday and several townspeople are killed. The following year, as video of the melee has resurfaced online, a mysterious figure dressed like John Carver, the first Pilgrim, starts taking his murderous revenge out on the people he holds responsible for the previous years madness. We will be talking about the movie in its entirety and letting you know our ratings!
