A place in Cincinnati that was used as a place of peace and rest for priests during the late 1800s and early 1900s, the Sedamsville Rectory has had a pretty rough past. A priest who was accused of molestation, deaths around the surrounding area, and dog fights have all been reported there. Some people have had crazy experiences while others have had nothing happen at all. After hearing about what happened here and from what we have researched, what do you think? Back in the 40's a string of murders that lasted about 10 weeks in Texarkana started happening. Out of 8 attacks, 5 were killed and 3 survived. No one was able to identify their assailant but a sack over the head with cut out holes and about 6 ft tall. The Phantom Killer as he was known was never identified and to this day remains a mystery. The Town That Dreaded Sundown was a movie that was made based off the murders and still is shown every Halloween in Texarkana. Will we ever find out who the killer really was??

It is Black History/Women In Horror month and what better way to celebrate than to talk about black women and black people in horror throughout the years. The black community has gotten better with representation in horror movies but it still needs improvement. Horror Noire on Shudder is SUCH an amazing and informative documentary on how they are represented in horror from the beginning of the 20th century until now. Representation is very important and definitely needs to be talked about and improved for everyone.

Many have speculated as to who this man is, but it has been nothing more than circumstantial evidence to support the claims. Maybe one day we will know who he is but more than likely he will never be brought to justice.
