The Conjuring Last Rites

*SPOILERS AHEAD* 

Tonight we're discussing the final Conjuring film, The Conjuring: Last Rites. Another movie featuring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren this time discussing the real life Smurl Haunting in Pennsylvania as well as tying in their daughter Judy, who is now an adult, engaged to her boyfriend Tony Spera who in real life took over ownership of the Warrens' occult museum after the real life Warrens' passed in 2006 and 2019 respectively. This was an emotional roller-coaster to say the least with well timed jump scares making this the best in the franchise since the original. Horror Animation

We are always discussing our fave horror films on the podcast but we've never discussed our favorite animated horror films which there are more of than we thought. We will be discussing both animated films and shows as well as a few horror animes that Casper enjoyed. Some of these are from childhood, some we didn't watch until we were adults but still enjoyed. Marianne Bachmeier

We're discussing Marianne Bachmeier, a German woman who in 1981 shot and killed, in court, the man who assaulted & murdered her 7 year old daughter. A 1996 film starring Sally Field called "Eye For An Eye" is similar to the case but based on a 1993 book by the same name. WTF Was That Ending Series - Part 5

We're back guys! Tonight is part 5 of our WTF was that Ending series and tonight we're discussing the 2011 found footage space film "Apollo 18," which tells the story of the cancelled Apollo 18 mission that actually did land on the moon but never returned because of what they discovered. The ending to this wasn't terrible like most in our series, but it was a bit lackluster for our taste, so the DFWTO crew decided to give it something a little extra. We will discuss our ending ideas as well as original alternate endings that the creators of the film decided to pass on. "Apollo 18" is currently streaming on Tubi.

The Giant Serpent of the Ohio River

Cincinnati, Ohio, our hometown, has so many connections to snakes. From the ancient Serpent Mound to our north to the Serpentine Wall to our south, all signs of snakes point to Cincinnati. But would you believe that there are cryptid sightings that tie this all together? The Ohio River, that the Serpentine Wall borders, was the location of the 1878 sighting of a reported "sea serpent." A subsequent sighting followed in 1885 also in the Ohio River along Ripley County, Indiana. There were apparently earlier sightings in the late 1840s in eastern Cincinnati as well.
