Deer woman or deer lady is a spirit in Native American mythology that is half human/half deer that grants blessings of fertility and love to those who honor her as well as death and vengeance to those who have harmed her or others. In more modern times, she has taken on a more heroic quality of a wronged woman transformed into a half deer creature seeking vigilante justice. Tune in as we discuss the history, the current mythology and a personal story written by Casper's friend Lakota who is of partial Iroquois descent.
